WhY Is LeAd UsEd iN PAinT???

Lead paint is any paint that relies in compounds for its color. I paint, lead is not pure, but it becomes a compound. The formula for the compound is PbCO3 in white paint used for painting wood. the vivid yellow lead chromate is a compound that is used as a pigment. The formula for this is PbCrO4. Lead paint is not only used to paint houses but it is also used to paint many childrens' toys. As we know, children like to chew on things and once this paint comes into contact with the mouth the child is poisoned.
